Triangle Pond

'Triangle pond' collects all the surface water from the kahikatea block ponds and directs the overflow to the 'spring pond' which can be seen just beyond the kahikatea tree in the middle of the picture above. The small pond beyond and to the left is the 'drain pond' and the large pond beyond this is 'lake pohangina', the largest and lowest pond on the wetlands. The water from this last pond flows eventually via a drain to the Pohangina River.
